When hiring an aluminium scaffold tower, follow these steps to ensure you get the correct tower:
- Consider the Tower Footprint: Towers are available in
single width (0.7 m) or
double width
(1.35 m) and two platform lengths (2 m
and
2.5 m). Choose the length and width that fits your workspace while providing the stability and access required.
- Know Your Working Height:
Measure the height you need to reach. The overall tower height is approximately 1.25 m above the platform height and the working height is 2 m above the platform height.
- Check Platform Height: Scaffold towers are measured by their platform height, not their total height. Choose a tower where the platform height suits your required working height.
- Account for Clearance:
Ensure the tower height fits your workspace, including overhead areas and side clearance for stabilisers.
